Suivo Mobile Unit
The new Suivo Mobile Unit offers the ultimate in tracking mobility, with battery autonomy up to six hours of autonomous tracking and two weeks standby, motion sensors to activate tracking, and variable 'turn-by-turn' tracking interval.
The Mobile can be used as a personal tracker, or by plugging it in to your vehicle's cigarette lighter plug it can also be used as a fully functional vehicle tracker.
The Mobile will automatically switch off when not in use, and uses its motion sensors to power up again when you start moving. While moving, the tracking interval records every turn you make, just like the Suivo Install.
Charging the Mobile is very simple: just plug it in to your computer's USB port, or use an optional car adaptor to charge it while driving.
Suivo Install Unit
The Suivo Install Unit is a highly reliable tracking unit for permanent installation in any 12 or 24 volt vehicle. It can even be powered by an external battery pack for autonomous operation.
The device uses GPRS to reliably and efficiently transmit GPS-based location data and a variety of additional information such as the vehicle's status, speed and heading. This information is transmitted at an intelligent interval to ensure that each turn and significant change of vehicle status is recorded, which results in highly accurate maps and reports. When the vehicle is not moving, the interval is reduced to minimize power consumption.
When GPRS is temporarily not available no tracking data is lost, because the Suivo Install Unit features a large internal memory in which up to 55,000 data points can be logged for transmission once GPRS is available again. So no tracks should be lost due to network coverage or underground parking, and reports will always give an accurate view of the vehicle's activities once all data has been uploaded to the servers.
The Suivo Install Unit can be fitted with a number of optional accessories for advanced fleet monitoring. Among these accessories are navigation systems with two-way communication function, an immobilizer for remote starter disabling, basic and advanced driver identification systems based on the industry standard id button system, a privacy button for hidden tracking and vehicle monitoring outside office hours, and temperature sensor systems for cooled transport. Suivo Trailer
Suivo's range of "trailer trackers", which are of course also perfectly suitable for other types of equipment, allow you to choose an autonomous and rugged tracking solution for your mobile equipment based on your operational needs.
Three models are available to suit your requirements: a rechargeable unit with up to 3 months of autonomy between charges, and also two completely autonomous units with up to 2 or 5 years of standalone operation.
The rechargeable unit is powered (and recharged) by the equipment's electrical system while it is moving or in use. While it is powered, the device tracks just like a Suivo Install, so the movement can be viewed on a map and drive reports can be generated. While it is not powered, the tracker sends a location update once a day.
The autonomous units send one location update every day, and remain in standby the rest of the time. These autonomous units feature replaceable battery packs with enough power to track daily up to 2 or 5 years depending on the configuration.
Alerts can easily be configured for all trailer trackers, so you can receive an email or SMS alert when the trailer moves.
Suivo PDA
The Suivo PDA is a Windows Mobile application, which turns your PDA into a full-featured Suivo tracking- and communication device.
The Suivo PDA application uses your PDA's internet connection and GPS chipset to track the PDA just like a Suivo Mobile Unit. Every 60 seconds a location update is sent to the Suivo servers.
The Suivo PDA application can also be expanded with a communication pack, which allows the use of simple messaging to and from the Suivo software package. Optionally, the Suivo PDA application can also be expanded with a navigation software package, complete with dispatch function to send and track tasks (work orders) from the Suivo system.
The Suivo PDA application can be installed on most PDA's that have a GPRS modem and GPS receiver chipset. Suivo can of course also help you source the ideal PDA for your business needs.
