Privacy Switch
The Privacy Switch, which can be installed on the dashboard, allows your drivers to guard their privacy outside working hours by preventing your dispatchers from seeing the tracked data on the site, while still monitoring vehicle activities for theft prevention and recovery. The total travelled kilometers are still logged to ensure uninterrupted data for reports, and also the vehicle status is still monitored, but the location and speed is not shown on the web interface or in reports. This option is ideal for vehicles that can be used by employees outside normal working hours.
Navigation & Communication
Connect a Suivo PND or a Garmin PND to your Suivo Install Unit or Mobile Unit for navigation, two-way messaging and simple task dispatch.
Messages are delivered in real-time, and do not cost any extra since they also use the device's active GPRS connection. Messages can be entered on the PND using an on-screen keyboard, but also by choosing out of a selection of 'quick messages'. The Quick Messages are defined on the site, and can be synchronized to the PND over the GPRS connection of the Suivo hardware.
Tasks are messages with locations, which are automatically interpreted by the PND for quick and easy navigation. The driver does not need to enter the address information manually. When a task is sent to the PND, the status can be followed on the Suivo+ web interface, from start to completion.
The Suivo Install Unit is currently compatible with the following Garmin PND models:
- Nüvi 2200 3.6"
- Nüvi 2360LTU 4.3"
- Dezl 560LT 5.0"
Please note that TMC traffic information is not available while the Garmin PND is connected to tracking devices.
Easy Identification
An ID button reader connected to your Suivo Install Unit enables your drivers to identify themselves in the vehicle with their personal ID button (also known as 'dallas key'). Each time a driver identifies him- or herself with their ID button, an update will be shown on the Suivo+ web interface. If a new driver identifies himself in a vehicle, their name will be shown on the website. When a driver is instructed to identify himself according to his activities, Suivo+ can generate reports of driver working times for operational or fiscal benefit.
Advanced Identification & Communication
An Advanced Driver ID system for the Suivo Install Unit combines an ID button reader with an LCD screen. In addition to identifying him- or herself with a personal ID button ('dallas key'), the driver can also set their status, and enter codes on the system's numeric keypad. The driver status will be updated on the Suivo+ web interface when it is changed in the vehicle, and the data is stored on the servers for advanced driver activity monitoring, reports and statistics.
Temperature
A temperature sensor can be connected to the Suivo Install Unit for real-time temperature monitoring (updated every 60 seconds) and detailed temperature-based reports. Additionally, alerts can be configured to notify you when the temperature goes above or below a specific treshold. It is also possible to connect up to six temperature sensors to a single Suivo Install Unit, in case a large vehicle is monitored. When multiple sensors are in use, Suivo+ will display the average temperature on the web interface and reports.
Optionally, a third party certified temperature registration system could be installed with dual wireless sensors and periodic certification. Please contact our sales staff for details.
Immobilizer
An immobilizer connected to your Suivo Install Unit allows you to remotely disable the vehicle's starting system with a simple click of the mouse. On the Suivo+ web interface you can quickly see the immobilizer status, and switch it off to prevent the vehicle from being started. Disabling the starter is a safe method of immobilizing a vehicle, because it will only prevent the vehicle from being started, while not interfering with other vehicle functions.
