Do you have a 3.5t truck and care about ecological and safe transport? Then this is a must-read!
Companies that make expenditures in the framework of ecological and safe transport of goods by road are eligible for a subsidy from the Flemish government.
The support amounts to a maximum of 100 000 euros per company for expenditure made in the three calendar years 2019, 2020 or 2021 (the support of the applications 2019, 2020 and 2021 together).
The aid rate is maximum 80% of eligible expenses with a maximum of € 5,000 per truck. The company requesting the aid must have at least one vehicle of more than 3.5 tons registered in Belgium.
Apply for the subsidy
Your organization can apply for funding for expenditures that they divide into several categories.
These categories include expenses for:
- driving assistance systems to promote energy-efficient and road-safe driving
- measures to promote efficiency.

Mind the deadline
The application for 2021 can be submitted until December 17, 2021. If you haven’t taken advantage of it yet, it’s time to act. The subsidy for ‘Ecological and safe transport’ existed before, but there are a lot of changes in 2021.
